A New Chapter

The Borja Family will be emabarking on a new chapter, one I'm not so sure I'm ready for. I just found out today that after Nathan's surgery on Monday we will have to go to follow-up appointments once, maybe twice, a week for the next 5 months. We'll leave for Phoenix Sunday night and be home on Thursday. Then we come back for a follow-up on Monday and every Monday after that for the next 5 months.

I'm overwhelmed.

Tonight starts our VBS at church..I'm teaching, helping with the sing-along, and joy-of-joys! playing a lead role in the skit...can you sense my enthusiasm?

Add to that the fact that I have been asked to give a devotion at a baby shower the week after Nathan's surgery. That is freaking me out. I've never done a Bible study with grown women where I was the teacher, and frankly, I don't feel like I should be the one giving "all important" advice to a first time mom. I'm trying to run from it, but my hubby won't let me...

I told Matt that with the condition I'm in; it's going to be more of a Demotion than a Devotion.

Anyways, enough of this pity party nonsense! I'll be bringing my computer with me so I'll try and keep you all updated. Sorry to be a downer these past few weeks...3-5 phone calls a day from insurance companies, doctors, and technicians can grate on your nerves.

Oh, and Nathan did great at his CT scan.

  1. Just remember that there is only so much of you to go around, and your family comes first. Sometimes God wants us to learn to say, "NO".
