Last night we went to get a bite to eat and get our Christmas tree.
It was snowing when we left the house and has been snowing ever since! It's almost 1pm the next day and it's still snowing!
We stopped at Red Robins and Daddy got his long-coveted tower of onion rings and Timothy got his long-coveted balloon.
Catching the snow in the parking lot.
Hello Nathan! Warm and Happy!
Then it was off to pick out a tree!
I doubt anyone was buying a car yesterday.
Poor Daddy, it was snowing the whole time he was tying the tree onto the car...
...we were inside enjoying the heater and the new Christmas CD's (:
The whole Christmas tree trimming and decorating thing is so much easier without two kids to keep track of. Don't jump on the tree.... don't play with the ornament hooks..... Nathan, no eating lights.... you get the picture.
It was very heartwarming to hear Timmy singing Happy Birthday to Jesus while hanging ornaments, so I guess the madness was a trade off!
After we finished up our grand evening (at 11pm) it was a job-and-a-half trying to get these giddy little elves to go to bed.
Yes, that is exactly what it looks like. Timothy was in the walker and Nathan was getting a ride on the back all through the house while I was obliviously stringing lights.
"Timothy, you have to lay down. I know you're excited..."
"No, I hungry."
"I hungry for Wheaties."
So, since daddy was hungry too they ate a bowl of Wheaties together and we finally went to bed.
Some pictures of the tree taken by Timmy.
pictures of us in the snow are in the next post (:
