Getting Ready for the Holidays

Now that the weather is starting to get cold I've taken out my crochet things and been quiet busy.

Nathan wanted a hat that was the minions from Despicable Me

Timothy wanted a Thomas the Train hat

And I couldn't resist making a few of these cute snowmen. Just finished these today!

We set up our Christmas tree last night and the boys woke up all holly jolly. They were singing and humming Jingle Bells (Nathan was shaking an actual bell) and Frosty the Snowman. Then they volunteered to help me clean up all the pine needles we were too tired to clean last night.

When I brought out the vacuum cleaner Timothy said, "Mom, you are the best vacuum lady ever! When I get bigger I'm going to help you vacuum and do all the laundry 'cause, guess what, I love you!"
I said, "Guess what? I love you too and I can't wait until you are bigger to help me."
Then he said, "Yes, I will vacuum when i'm bigger, but right now I'm scared!" Then he plugged his ears and put a blanket over his head!

We also made some Christmas cards for their grandpas and grandmas, and a few friends- they love putting things in the mailbox and receiving mail in return.

They did a pretty good job. I hardly helped them.

I also made Timothy a calender last week, dry erase of course, that counts off the days until Christmas. he has been watching it closely. The turkeys are a project Timothy and I did. We traced each other's hands and colored them together before Thanksgiving.
